Talentpath recruit for 'Earn & Learn' program changing hundreds of lives in Victoria

Since March 2022, Talentpath alongside Jobs Victoria and Workforce Innovation and Development Institute has offered hundreds of new traineeship roles in the Aged Care and Disability sector as the demand for workers continues to rise.

As well as securing employment for 12 months, successful candidates undertake a Certificate III in Individual Care (Ageing) or Certificate IV in Disability facilitated and supported by RMIT University.

This is an incredible opportunity open to everyone and anyone that wants to pursue a career where they can really make a difference. We encourage people from diverse backgrounds, women aged 45+, people with disabilities, multilingual etc. to apply and see what the traineeship can do for you.

Thank you to Ben Carroll for your support in this project and for encouraging and congratulating every person coming forward to take part in the traineeship. With a real skill shortage in this sector and a forecasted 11,000 support workers needed in the next few years, there is a lot of opportunity and support available for those curious to make this a long-lasting career.

A career change for the better

Simon attended one of our Recruitment Events in August last year and is now successfully working as a Support Worker for Focus Individualised Support in Frankston, Victoria.

Hearing Simon's passion and enthusiasm for helping others in his community is why this traineeship is so important. Without the platform and support to enable Simon to undertake the traineeship, he may have never considered a career path as a support worker. By completing the traineeship, Simon was able to find a fulfilling and purpose-driven role where he is helping others every single day.

Watch to learn more about Simon's journey, and possibilities for other people looking to follow in his footsteps in the video below.
