In its fifth year of publication, the 22/23 Talent Guide unveils eye-opening statistics collected from over one thousand survey respondents on what really matters when it comes to workplace satisfaction, as well as insight on everything from what has the biggest impact on company culture to why they left their previous role.
The 2022-2023 edition highlights that people are more purpose-driven than ever before and that a personalised approach to flexibility, learning & development, and incentivisation on top of a competitive salary are non-negotiable for hiring in 2023.
Jody Fazldeen, Co-Founder and Director of Talentpath, adds, ‘The Talent Guide is the recruitment resource that proves humans are more than just salary packages, job descriptions, and titles. More than ever before, this year’s Talent Guide results reflect the vulnerability we’ve all felt, as we continue to navigate the volatility of the world around us.’
Whilst flexible working opportunities are still front of mind for survey respondents, we see factors such as salary, extra financial incentives, career progression, and L&D jump in priority as hybrid and flexible working are now the norm.
Up 20% from last year's survey, 57% of respondents said salary was a top consideration when looking for a new role, while 24% of respondents say an acknowledged mental health day would allow them to perform better. Job security was important across every business division, and people are looking for financial security, emotional safety, and stability in comparison to last year’s results where flexibility was the hero benefit.
